Members of this troublesome collective include spoiled and entitled people who use their privileges to get what they want – Karen herself being one such member who uses her privileges to her advantage, along with Kady who strives to emulate her mother’s antics and entitlement.

Empowered people can be a frustrating addition to any workplace, but retail or grocery jobs in particular are especially hard hit by them. Entitled people often think they can use their position of authority over you when you work and their reasons often appear absurd. Their tantrums can be downright distasteful but watching social media ridicule these culprits is like witnessing justice being done! Karen is one such entitled individual often seen causing issues for Brainiac Adam with her daughter Kelly and Kady acting entitled.
Entitled Customer Horror Stories
Anyone who has worked in retail or food service knows that dealing with entitled customers is an unfortunate part of their job. While dealing with any customer service position has its challenges (paper cuts, eye strain, etc), dealing with entitled people all day long can be especially trying – this is particularly true in high end retail, where dealing with rich customers can make your blood boil!
Reddit user u/eightballwitch recently shared her story of an especially rude, demanding customer with the Petty Revenge subreddit. She explained that she manages the front counter of her father’s store, where most of her time is spent engaging customers; meanwhile her dad runs another business and can often be out running errands while she’s working. One day a man entered looking annoyed and asked whether her dad was present; upon hearing this news he tried trading items from her store against services her dad owed him for services her father had rendered him, but ultimately decided against doing anything other than giving up his items as promised him by offering his debt collection company instead he left without paying anything as promised by him and attempted trade!
Though she was working in her father’s business, she took steps to directly confront him with his behavior. The post went viral with over 14,000 upvotes from commenters who applauded her decisiveness.
Entitled people are an important component of society, but their behavior should not be accepted as acceptable. While such people may think being rude and demanding will lead to what they desire, in most cases this results in a disappointing experience for all involved – not to mention any detrimental ramifications it can have on company culture and morale.
Unfortunately, there are ways you can avoid being the one to ruin everyone’s day at work. A bit of empathy and respect goes a long way toward building an engaging workplace culture.
Entitled Roasts
People taking to the internet to complain about restaurants can expect a roast in return. Roasts are an often-used form of comedy in which people make offensive jokes about each other publicly. When this entitled influencer took to Instagram telling a UK restaurant she believed she deserved free meals there, she was exposed to a harsh roast from its operator; her behavior was too outrageous even during an epidemic for that owner not to publicly call out and address.
