It is no shock that a woman in her early twenties with an impressive physique and impressive pecs should find herself at the top of YouTube. Most of these videos feature white women who feel they have the right to intervene in other people’s lives or escalate situations to hysterical levels. They often act with impunity, often out of a false sense of moral authority. With little consideration given, they simply get their “Karen on.”
Recently, TikTok video surfaced of a woman spewing racist insults at a Black manager at Ross store. While she is clearly in the wrong, she doesn’t appear to care. This hysterical display of racist antics has gone viral with over 2 million views.
Another example of a bad Karen is this Plano, Texas woman who threatened a group of women outside a restaurant because she didn’t like their language. She then assaulted them and was arrested for it.
Another infamous video involves this woman defacing a monument to the only Black person on Lewis and Clark’s expedition. She expressed her anger that it replaced a statue of a white man, using her racist tirade as an excuse to spray-paint the base of the monument in white paint.
Karens have also become violent, such as a white woman arrested for assaulting a Black freshman student at the University of Kentucky while drunk. She called the girl a “b-a-n-n-,” and repeatedly slapped her face.
