Attorneys, doctors and Realtors seem to attract an especially high concentration of arrogant individuals; yet that doesn’t make them any less frustrating. Learning to deal with an angry Karen can be difficult but worth your efforts: the key is in recognising and acknowledging it swiftly.

3. Ask for her opinion.

Every profession has arrogant individuals (attorneys, doctors and entrepreneurs are good examples), but Realtors appear to have more of them than others. Perhaps this is due to real estate being such an attractive career choice that everyone wants a piece of the action? In any event, remember it’s not your place to advise Karen what she should or shouldn’t do with her business; instead seek her opinion instead as this could save a great deal of heartache down the road.

4. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.

If you’re uncertain whether someone would be willing to assist, don’t let doubt rule the day – simply ask anyway. Your mind may fill with critical thoughts of how offensive their refusal would be; recognize their presence, label them appropriately and muster up courage to reach out and ask. Timing of your request for assistance should also be carefully considered: don’t ask when they are already stretched too thin, instead wait for when they have time and can provide fully as this way they will appreciate your effort and be more open minded; both parties involved will appreciate and benefit (just don’t expect thanking them directly!)

Realtors don’t need to be arrogant pricks; all they need to be is competent.
