Over the past few years, Karens have been caught on camera in some pretty daring incidents. From Walmart Karen falsely accusing a Black man of taking her phone to TikTok Karen crying during a photoshoot in a Lamborghini – these videos often go viral and it’s unfortunate that such things become public knowledge.

1. Burger King

Burger King is a well-known fast food chain that offers an array of dishes. Its products include burgers, fries and desserts; plus it has numerous locations across America.

Last week, a restaurant in Lincoln, Nebraska went viral when it was revealed that several employees had quit their jobs. A large sign outside read “We all quit.” This incident quickly spread on social media and caused consternation among people. While it remains unknown why these staff members gave notice to their bosses, many social media users offered their insights as to why they might have chosen this route.

Rachael Flores, the store’s general manager, announced her resignation due to unsanitary conditions at the restaurant. She told KLKN that an air conditioner had malfunctioned and the kitchen had become overheated, leading to employees becoming ill.

She reported that she and other workers were often understaffed, with only three or four people working during shifts. Furthermore, her supervisor called her a “baby” for complaining about the conditions at their workplace.

Some former employees at the Lincoln location told KLKN they could not afford medical insurance due to their work schedules keeping them from receiving it. Furthermore, some reported that managers sometimes called them into work only for them to be asked to leave early.

Employees who have worked at Burger King for years may not be offered a transfer. KLKN reported that an assistant manager who had worked there seven years was told she would have to settle elsewhere if she wished to remain with the company.

Other employees reported being denied transfers despite their families living nearby. One employee with five children was not even offered a transfer and ended up working at McDonald’s instead.

Burger King continues to expand, so it needs to take measures to manage its operations. Doing so will prevent restaurants from wasting money or harming the environment. Furthermore, Burger King should guarantee its workers receive a positive atmosphere which can boost profitability and keep customers coming back for more.

2. McDonald’s

McDonald’s, the world’s largest hamburger chain, is a beloved destination among diners around the world. They offer an extensive menu of items like burgers, chicken sandwiches, French fries and soft drinks to choose from.

Recently, customers have begun questioning if it’s worth paying the high prices for its food. They’re particularly worried about pink slime – a fungus found on some meat at the fast food restaurant.

Another topic on which people have been wondering lately is the healthiness of their food. Some are worried about what goes into McDonald’s hamburgers and how the meat is handled during production. Others worry about meat quality, believing it may contain worms or other harmful creatures.

Therefore, some people have started eating at restaurants such as Five Guys or Smashburger instead. Not only do these chains provide better-quality foods than McDonald’s, but they tend to be healthier options overall.

However, McDonald’s haven’t always remained free from controversy and some incidents went viral. One such instance occurred in Ohio when Nashawnda Johnson, a manager at a McDonald’s drive-thru, got into an altercation with a customer.

What’s so fascinating about this story is that it’s just one example of Karen-baiting becoming increasingly commonplace. People are frequently filming themselves during heated exchanges and sharing them online for all to see.

It’s not that these individuals aren’t accountable for the behaviour they observe – it just appears as if they do this deliberately. They seem intent on creating problems and stirring up trouble.

If they feel threatened by what happened to her, or want to get in trouble with those she was fighting with, then that makes sense. But if it’s simply out of a desire for fun and making a statement, then they may not be the best person for the job.

Many have taken to social media platforms like TikTok in order to express their opinions on Karen. These platforms have become an increasingly popular way for individuals to voice their thoughts on contentious issues and incidents.

3. Uber

This year, the company has been rocked by an array of scandals. Additionally, it’s facing off in court against various lawsuits and dealing with the fallout from Travis Kalanick’s departure as founder.

Uber’s latest controversy involves an executive who threatened to dig up personal information on tech journalist Sarah Lacy. This revelation, reported by Buzzfeed on Monday, sparked a social media uproar that resulted in Lacy launching her #DeleteUber campaign.

According to the news site, an executive at the ride-sharing service warned Lacy that “higher ups” might look through her rider logs if she didn’t comply. They added that if Lacy did not consent, they “would dig into your personal information.” Later, the CEO issued an apology via tweet to Lacy for any offense caused.

As Buzzfeed notes, 2018 has seen plenty of viral stories. One such incident involved a woman who made unreasonable demands and then became shrill and demanding when her requests weren’t fulfilled.

She may attempt to get the employee who refused her request in trouble with authorities – this is known as being a “Karen.”

Karen has long been associated with an arrogant, middle-class white woman who talks down to people of color in serving positions and gets easily riled up. This term has gained widespread acceptance on Reddit and other social media sites over time.

The term originated on Reddit several years ago and quickly gained notoriety as a way to mock women who act petty and entitled. It has especially become popular in America, where it’s used to refer to those who are “overbearing and petty” who frequently talk down to people of color.

In the US, being a Karen has much to do with racial oppression and how white women tend to have more privilege than other people. Oftentimes, it’s women who exhibit overbearing behavior due to having high expectations of themselves and believing they deserve better treatment than others do.

But the term can also be applied to any woman who acts petty and overbearingly, regardless of her race. It’s an act of sexism which can have dangerous repercussions in the workplace; employees become afraid to speak up for fear of not being heard and feel ignored.

4. TikTok

TikTok is a video-sharing app that allows users to record short clips of themselves performing various activities. While the platform offers users the chance to express themselves creatively and freely, it’s essential that they learn how to stay safe while using it.

Despite TikTok’s warnings against performing risky stunts or challenges, many have gone viral and claimed lives of young people. According to the TikTok Death Tracker, idiotic and dangerous challenges account for 27 percent of all deaths from viral TikTok videos.

There are numerous tips to stay secure on TikTok, such as not sharing personal information and registering your device with its security features. Furthermore, the app offers privacy settings which let you decide who can follow your account, view your videos, and like your posts.

If you’re a TikTok user looking to create your own content, start by deciding what kind of videos you want to share. This is an effective way to gauge which types of posts will be most successful and understand who your ideal target audience is.

Additionally, using hashtags relevant to your content on TikTok can help boost its likelihood of appearing when users search for videos on the platform.

One way to make your TikTok videos more captivating is by including music. This will create a lively atmosphere and encourage viewers to keep watching.

One of the most popular trends on TikTok is the live corner, where users can stream their videos in real-time. These can be highly entertaining and even provide a source of comedy or drama.

They can also be somewhat eccentric. Alice May Stevenson, a writer for Check-Out magazine, recently explored the depths of live TikTok streams in an article entitled “Obsession Confessions.”

Though not recommended, being extra cautious in the live area might be wise. Not only do these spaces display some of the worst moments on the platform, but users have the ability to post videos that could cause harm or embarrassment to others.
